WICHITA — It looks like the action comedy tentatively titled “Wichita” is still on track.
In May, Variety announced that Tom Cruise will star as a secret agent who pops in and out of the life of a single woman played by Cameron Diaz.
James Mangold (“3:10 to Yuma,” “Walk the Line“) will direct.
A representative for the movie contacted The Wichita Eagle to ask permission to use a copy of the newspaper as a prop.
Also, apparently there will be a scene that’s supposed to be in the Wichita airport.
But unlike “Bruno,” which shot at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport (though the footage wasn’t used), it looks like Boston’s Logan International Airport will be used for filming instead.
